The Antica Posta of Vallelunga country-house is located in the heart of the Umbrian countryside, 15 minutes from Perugia. Surrounded by the hills of this land, the structure lies in Vocabolo Vallelunga of Badiola where the roads to Orvieto, Lake Trasimeno and Città della Pieve converged. Between the 13th and 16th centuries, this merging of roads marked the old via Orvietana which linked Perugia to Orvieto, Lake Bolsena and the Francigena way. This junction was also characterized by the presence of an edifice, the country-house in question, where Benedictine monks gave shelter to wayfarers, merchants, pilgrims and their horses. Now transformed by its owners into a country-house marked by elegant furnishings and attention to detail, the Antica Posta offers apartments, all very recently restructured. The facility, in a proximity of a provincial road that permit to reach all tuscan and umbrian cities like Assisi, only 25 minutes away by car, or cities of art including Todi, Spoleto, Spello, Gubbio, Città di Castello, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, and Città della Pieve. Rome is an hour and a half away by train from Perugias Fontivegge station, as is Florence. There are 2 golf courses near the country-house: the golf club of S. Sabina, 6 kilometers away, and the Golf club Lamborghini, at 20 kilometers. A supermarket, bakery and newsstand are only a few minutes away by car. All the apartments are provided with bedrooms and bathroom linen, pillows and blankets.
